Job Details
Job Title: GIS Business Analyst(Part time)
Duration: 24 months
Location: Oakland, MI
Key responsibilities:
- Collecting and analyzing and managing spatial data as part of a Geographic Information System.
- Planning and coordinating GIS data collection initiatives and projects.
- Data and technology advocate to promote data sharing collaboration to help improve data-based decision-making.
- Edit and maintain existing GIS data. Knowledge of GIS dataset schema design, views, tables and attribution.
- Prepare and deliver technical written and verbal reports in a clear and logical manner.
- Work independently and as a member of a team.
- Coordinate multiple work-streams and meet deadlines.
- Exercise judgment and initiative in analyzing problems and recommending solution
Required Qualification:
- 1 2 years of hands-on experience with ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS for Desktop for mapping, spatial analysis, and data visualization.
- 1 2 years of knowledge of ArcGIS for Server and ArcGIS for Mobile for publishing and managing GIS services.
- 1 2 years of experience to create workflows, diagrams, and process documentation using MS Visio.
- 1 2 years experience in Microsoft 365 Services (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) for collaboration and reporting.
- 1 2 years experience with understanding of GIS concepts, spatial data management, and map production.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and support GIS-related tasks with attention to detail.
