Sr Systems / QA Analyst

Job Title: Sr. Systems / QA Analyst
Duration: 6+ Months
Location: Remote (Must work Pacific Time hours)

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into system specifications.

• Create detailed use cases, test plans, and execute traceable software testing.

• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements.

• Participate in product roadmap planning and the end-to-end system lifecycle.

• Work closely with internal/external customers to understand business needs and drive application enhancements.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in:

  • Business requirements analysis and system specification development.

  • Creating use cases, writing test plans, and executing test cases.

  • Data architecture and working with databases.

  • Experience with both Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies.

• Preferred:

  • Customer service or project management experience.

  • Energy/Utility industry experience.

Certifications (Preferred but not required):

• CBAP, CSQA, CSQE, or other business analysis or QA certifications.

• JIRA, Confluence, JAMA, Microsoft Visio, MS Office Suite

Testing Tools:

• HP ALM, Cucumber/Gherkin (BDD)

Databases:

• SQL, TOAD

Web Services Testing:

• SOAP UI, Postman
