Responsibilities:

Lead and Develop Your Team: Supervise and mentor a team of terminology analysts, guiding their growth and helping them build career paths in emerging areas like knowledge graph development.

Ensure Terminology Quality: Manage and enhance the delivery of clinical terminologies (e.g., SNOMED CT, ICD-10, LOINC, RxNorm), ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Drive Strategic Initiatives: Help shape terminology strategies and informatics processes that support the organization's core data assets.

Facilitate Agile Processes: Promote Agile/Scrum methodologies, enabling the team to stay responsive, efficient, and aligned with broader organizational objectives.

Act as a Technical Liaison: Work closely with data engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to integrate terminology content into data pipelines and product functionality.

Coach and Provide Feedback: Conduct performance reviews, offer regular feedback, and guide professional development to strengthen team knowledge and cross-functional collaboration.

Support Team Operations: Manage resources, approve timesheets and PTO, and contribute to departmental reporting on productivity and impact.

Champion Collaboration: Build strong, collaborative relationships with clinical, content, and technical teams to improve delivery and solve complex problems.

Influence Organizational Change: Drive continuous improvement in team processes, communication, and culture by promoting agile principles and adaptive thinking.
Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technical, clinical, or health-related field (Master's preferred).

Technical certifications across relevant technologies are a plus.
Skills:
Required:

7 10+ years of experience in health informatics, clinical terminology, or related areas.

In-depth knowledge of clinical terminologies like SNOMED CT, ICD-10, and RxNorm, along with standards such as HL7 FHIR and OMOP CDM.

Demonstrated leadership in managing and growing teams focused on informatics or terminology content.

Understanding of data engineering tools and principles, with the ability to contribute to technical discussions.

Excellent communication skills for translating complex clinical/technical topics to varied audiences.

Experience using Agile/Scrum and collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence.

Familiarity with healthcare data governance and regulatory frameworks, including HIPAA.

Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
