Sr Python Lead Engineer
Client: Wells Fargo
Location: New York, NY or Charlotte, NC(Day 1 Onsite)
W2 Bill Rate: 60$/Hr with benefits

Senior Python Engineer Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Python Engineer to lead and drive a new project initiative for our client, Wells Fargo. The ideal candidate will be a strong individual contributor with hands-on coding experience, capable of operating independently while also being a collaborative team player.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend Python applications.
Lead and implement robust REST APIs for frontend and third-party system integrations.
Utilize asynchronous programming (asyncio) to handle high-performance and concurrent tasks.
Model and query relational databases using SQLAlchemy.
Use Pandas for complex data manipulation and transformation pipelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, data analysts, and frontend engineers.
Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
Take full ownership and drive initiatives from concept to production.
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:
15+ years of overall software development experience, with a strong hands-on focus.
Expertise in Core Python (OOP, data structures, error handling).
Proven experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs using Flask or FastAPI.
Strong understanding and practical usage of asynchronous programming (asyncio, aiohttp).
Solid experience with SQLAlchemy and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
Strong knowledge of Pandas for data analysis and transformations.
Familiarity with Git and Agile development methodologies.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Nice-to-Have (Preferred) Skills:
Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Familiarity with task queues (Celery, RQ) and background job processing.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test automation tools.
Note: This is a W2 position through Roha only. Candidates must be willing to relocate and work onsite from Day 1 at either New York or Charlotte locations.
