Job Title: System Development Engineer

Location: Downtown Bellevue or Kirkland Totem Lake, WA

Job Duration: Full Time/ Permanent

Primary Skills:

• Experience in Systems & Network Administration, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering
• Strong background in system, network, and application security
• Expertise in Linux/Unix tools, web protocols, and large-scale infrastructure automation using Python, Java, PHP, Ruby, or Bash/Shell
• Practical experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), LDAP, and Active Directory
• Experience with cloud environments and cloud security controls
• Solid understanding of network and federated authentication protocols (Kerberos, OAUTH, NTLM, OIDC, SAML, FIDO, etc.)
• Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to design scalable, reliable systems, and build monitoring frameworks
• Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities:

• Provision and manage infrastructure (EC2, CloudFormation, AppStream, Load Balancers)
• Build dashboards, alarms, and tools to drive operational excellence
• Architect, build, and support VPC, EC2, RDS, SSM, S3 environments on AWS and GovCloud
• Develop automation scripts and tools to scale operations and reduce manual workload
• Conduct research, develop prototypes, and troubleshoot systems and network errors
• Work closely with application teams to plan for infrastructure needs and connectivity
• Support IAM initiatives and build secure, highly available environments
• Design networks and maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure
• Collaborate with internal security and network engineering teams to ensure secure deployments
• Develop monitoring tools and contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes
