Overview:
We are supporting a leading organization in Hawai'i in hiring a Desktop Tech Specialist for their Maui operations. This is a direct placement opportunity for a skilled IT professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about providing high-quality technical support.
Job Function:
The Desktop Tech Specialist will provide technical support for desktop and network/infrastructure products and services. This includes consulting on hardware/software configurations, resolving technical issues, and supporting internal users across various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first and second-level phone or on-site support for desktop systems and services
Monitor and manage trouble ticket systems
Dispatch contractors or personnel in response to support requests
Train and guide internal staff on hardware/software usage
Prepare instructional materials and documentation
Recommend and configure desktop solutions based on user needs
Assist with hardware/software installations and relocations
Provide backup support to infrastructure and operations teams
Participate in emergency response activities as assigned
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of desktop technologies, operating systems, and client-server environments
Familiarity with TCP/IP networking and Microsoft desktop/server interactions
Experience with hardware troubleshooting, software installation, and basic telecommunications
Ability to remain flexible and composed in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills:
Experience supporting enterprise-level desktop environments
Knowledge of infrastructure standards and emerging technologies
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $64700.00 - $80900.00/yr.
