Job Title: Storage Engineer
Location: Remote in Canada
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Overview:

We are looking for a talented and experienced Storage Engineer to join our team in Canada. This role requires a strong background in NetApp CVO and on-premises storage systems for monitoring, reporting, and overall system management. Experience with Commvault and AWS storage monitoring is a strong plus. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily monitoring and reporting for NetApp CVO and on-premises storage infrastructure.
  • Manage and optimize NetApp systems, ensuring high availability and efficient resource utilization.
  • Conduct system health checks, analyze performance metrics, and produce regular storage reports.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues.
  • Assist in storage planning, capacity forecasting, and implementation of best practices.
  • (Optional) Monitor and report on Commvault backup environments.
  • (Optional) Manage Commvault configurations, policies, and backup job performance.
  • (Optional) Monitor AWS storage usage and generate insights for optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with NetApp CVO and on-premises storage systems.
  • Strong expertise in daily monitoring, reporting, system management, and resource utilization.
  • Solid understanding of storage technologies and protocols such as NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and SAN/NAS.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system reliability.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience with Commvault monitoring, reporting, and system management.
  • 3+ years of experience in AWS storage monitoring and reporting.
  • Familiarity with capacity planning, backup optimization, and performance tuning in cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Relevant certifications in NetApp, Commvault, or AWS are a plus.
