Location:- NYC - ( HYBRID)

Duration:-12 months+

Position summary

The technical lead for a data management modernization project will be responsible for guiding the technical strategy and execution of the data workstream. This person provides deep technical expertise while simultaneously acting as a project leader, mentoring team members, and ensuring the workstream aligns with the overall modernization goals. The role is pivotal in ensuring the project's success by delivering a high-quality, modern, and scalable data ecosystem that meets the organization's current and future needs.

Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years information technology experience.
  • Proven experience leading the technical aspects of large-scale data modernization or migration project(s).
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and metadata management principles.
  • Database expertise: Strong command of SQL and experience with a variety of database technologies, including relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle) and NoSQL databases.
  • Expertise in data architecture, data modeling, and designing scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT).
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities, including experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to evolving project needs.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.

Desirable Requirements

  • Extensive experience with modern data migration technologies, including Informatica.
  • Extensive experience with modern data technologies, including Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) data platforms and data warehouses (particularly DataBricks).
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with programming languages like Python, C#, or Java is required for scripting and custom transformations
  • Data pipeline development: Advanced proficiency with data integration and pipeline orchestration tools.
