Job Description

The position is within the Debt Capital Markets (DCM) Origination team based in New York, which is a key product group within the Investment Banking Americas division. DCM is responsible for the origination and execution of public and private capital markets transactions for clients, including investment-grade corporations, financial institutions, sovereign entities, supranationals, agencies, and equity sponsors, largely concerning non-recourse infrastructure project financings in the capital markets (i.e., "Project Bonds").

The successful candidate will serve as a key member of DCM, focusing on the origination and execution of U.S. private placements (USPP) and infrastructure project bonds, with secondary responsibilities for select corporate DCM coverage and origination. He or she will be an integral part of the Americas DCM product line and is expected to actively liaise with other regional coverage and sector teams, as well as the broader DCM global team.

Working in coordination with coverage and sector teams globally, the individual will lead efforts to enhance client engagement and establish Natixis as a preferred candidate for active bookrunner and lead DCM roles. Additionally, the candidate will oversee, support, and mentor junior DCM employees toward their individual objectives, challenges, and personal growth.
  • Collaborate closely with the Origination (coverage) and Bond Syndicate teams to deliver market intelligence and structuring ideas to Natixis clients.
  • Increase commercial client marketing intensity focused on cross-border origination (EMEA and APAC) globally for infrastructure project bonds (USPP and 144A/RegS).
  • Assess investor demand and maintain ongoing dialogue with investors.
  • Support the structuring, execution, and direct placement of USPP transactions to an investor base comprising insurance companies and asset managers.
  • Liaise with Global Markets and Bond Syndicate to obtain pricing information in secondary markets and assist with special ad-hoc projects and initiatives.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts with the Green Sustainable Hub, Capital Advisory, and Ratings Advisory teams to deliver value-enhancing client content.
  • Work closely with DCM colleagues in Paris, London, Dubai, Hong Kong, Sydney, and Tokyo to stay informed about market developments in non-USD currencies and to identify relevant client opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties for DCM processes (internal management, general counsel, compliance, risk management, joint underwriters, accountants, and rating agencies).
  • Provide information to support senior management in monitoring market conditions and trends.
  • Participate in and manage resources for the preparation of market commentary, economic updates, and new issuance information.
  • Generate and maintain client presentations, preparing materials using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel for client meetings.
  • Manage and direct junior employees and interns.
  • Collaborate with coverage teams to identify and attract new corporate clients.
  • Analyze the financial or operational performance of companies facing capital raising needs to identify or recommend solutions.

The salary range for this position will be between $140,000 - 160,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
