Job Overview:
The Personalization Product Owner is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of our personalization roadmap to drive key metrics across the user experience. This role will ensure our prospects and customers see the most relevant and engaging content across their journey. The ideal candidate is customer-focused and passionate about building excellent user experiences that deliver value and outcomes, and has a combination of business acumen and technical knowledge.

The Personalization Product Owner is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of our personalization roadmap to drive key metrics across the user experience. This role will ensure our prospects and customers see the most relevant and engaging content across their journey. The ideal candidate is customer-focused and passionate about building excellent user experiences that deliver value and outcomes, and has a combination of business acumen and technical knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute on customer personalization strategy and roadmap that aligns with our goals to drive business value and growth.
- Drive a data-informed approach to personalization by working closely with data scientists and data analysts to identify key metrics and deliver personalized content across all touchpoints in the digital customer journey.
- Own the product backlog, meticulously managing and prioritizing user stories, bugs and tasks based on strategic business goals, customer value, and team capacity.
- Craft detailed user stories and acceptance criteria to guide the development process.
- Collaborate deeply with data science, engineering, marketing and business teams to define clear requirements for complex use cases to ensure seamless execution of customer focused initiatives that drive engagement and growth.
- Continuously test and optimize to improve engagement, conversion rates, and satisfaction, using A/B testing, multivariate testing, and other experimentation techniques.
- Leverage data insights to inform product decisions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop product initiatives that enhance the user experience and drive business growth.
- Communicate product vision, strategy, and performance to stakeholders across the organization, and ensure alignment on product priorities and goals.
- Create use cases and translate those into requirements for engineering, designers and others key partners.
- Champion a mindset of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to experiment with new ideas and approaches to solve customer problems.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to personalization and ensure our product strategy remains competitive.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in digital product/channel management, 3+ years personalization experience.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in the digital space.
- Experience with growth, acquisition, conversion rate optimization in a direct-to-consumer business is a plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- A problem-solving mindset with a passion for delivering user-centric solutions.
- Agile and adaptable, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and seizing opportunities.
- Inclusive leader with proven project/program management experience.
- Strong attention to detail with a quality assurance mindset.
- Ability to take initiative and work on competing priorities.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Experience managing the end-to-end lifecycle of digital products from conception through development, launch, and iteration.
- Comprehensive understanding and practical application of Agile methodologies, tools, and systems.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required.
