Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced AWS Architect / Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong AI/ML expertise and Retail domain experience to lead cloud modernization and solution architecture initiatives. This is a remote role supporting PST hours, and the consultant must work on our W2 for a long-term engagement.

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced AWS Architect / Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong AI/ML expertise and Retail domain experience to lead cloud modernization and solution architecture initiatives. This is a remote role supporting PST hours, and the consultant must work on our W2 for a long-term engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and optimize secure, scalable AWS cloud solutions across enterprise environments.
- Lead cloud strategy, migration, and modernization efforts with a focus on AI/ML-driven solutions.
- Build and integrate AI/ML models and pipelines using AWS-native services (SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, etc.).
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, data science, and retail operations teams.
- Conduct architecture reviews and ensure compliance with AWS Well-Architected Framework standards.
- Support CI/CD automation, IaC, and cloud security best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex cloud, data, and ML pipeline issues as the AWS technical SME.
- Document architecture standards, reference architectures, and solution roadmaps.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of overall IT experience with strong hands-on AWS architecture expertise.
- Proven experience in designing enterprise-scale cloud solutions using:
- EC2, Lambda, API Gateway
- VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail
- S3, DynamoDB, RDS/Aurora
- CloudFormation / Terraform
- Strong AI/ML experience, including building ML pipelines, deploying models, or using AWS ML/AI services.
- Retail domain experience is required experience supporting retail platforms, omnichannel systems, or high-volume customer environments.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as CodePipeline, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Solid understanding of cloud security, microservices, and automation best practices.
- Excellent communication and ability to lead architecture discussions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent AWS certifications.
- Experience with AWS SageMaker, Bedrock, Kinesis, or large-scale data pipelines.
- Prior experience supporting distributed teams in PST time zone.
- Knowledge of cost optimization and multi-account governance (FinOps).
