SAP Business Analyst
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SAP Business Analyst to play a key role in supporting our Cell Therapy business functions as part of our SAP Phase 2 implementation. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAP modules across manufacturing, supply chain, and quality management, with hands-on experience in master data management, configuration, and testing.
Key Responsibilities
Business Scope Responsibilities:
Oversee Master Data Creation (Resources, Recipes, BOMs, Production Versions).
Manage Master Data Transfer between site warehouses (e.g., Tarzana to 700 Progress Way & RMC sites).
Handle Master Data Extension to plant suppliers.
Execute MRP runs to generate order actions (load demand, purchase orders, and process orders).
Manage Process Orders including scheduling and execution for FG and S-FG.
Support Warehouse Operations for Apheresis LVV, reagents, and raw material issuance (including Point of Use/Kanban/Floor stock inventory).
Coordinate Material Transfers across multiple sites (Tarzana, RMC, and 700 Progress Way).
Conduct Batch Release (DP) including quality testing and release to inventory.
Oversee Batch Shipment activities, coordinating shipments to patients and the EU Hub (NGF60).
Functional Expertise
Review, document, and support SAP business processes and end-user training across the following modules:
SAP MM: Procurement, inventory, and supplier management
SAP PP: Production planning and manufacturing
MRP: Planning parameters, lot sizing, and master data setup
MDM: Maintenance of material/vendor masters, BOMs, resources, and routings
SAP SD: Sales order management and billing
SAP FI/CO: Financial accounting and controlling (GL, AP/AR, asset management)
SAP QM: Inspection types, sampling, notifications, and defect tracking
QM Master Data: Maintain inspection characteristics, sampling schemes, quality plans, and catalogs
Configuration & Testing
Configure SAP modules to align with evolving business requirements (organizational units, master data, transactional data).
Develop, document, and execute test cases for unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Qualifications
Required:
Minimum 5+ years of SAP functional experience across PP, MM, MRP, and related modules.
Highly Preferred:
Strong understanding of biopharma or life sciences supply chain and manufacturing processes.
Proven experience supporting SAP implementation or optimization projects.
Exceptional communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
