Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Snowflake Administrator with around 4 years of experience in cloud data warehousing and Snowflake administration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing Snowflake environments, supporting data engineers and analysts, optimizing performance, and ensuring data security and compliance.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their data infrastructure career who is ready to take ownership of Snowflake platform operations while continuing to develop advanced skills in cloud data management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support Snowflake cloud data platform including user access, roles, resource monitors, warehouses, and databases.
  • Monitor system performance and usage; troubleshoot issues and apply performance tuning as needed.
  • Implement and maintain data security, masking policies, and role-based access controls.
  • Assist with Snowflake integrations with ETL tools, BI platforms, and other third-party applications.
  • Manage environment configuration, version upgrades, and capacity planning.
  • Support backup and disaster recovery processes using Snowflake features.
  • Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and DevOps to optimize data pipelines and workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3 4 years of experience working with Snowflake in an administrative or support capacity.
  • Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture, features, and pricing model.
  • Experience with role-based access control (RBAC), warehouse management, and usage monitoring.
  • Proficiency in SQL and scripting (e.g., Python or Bash).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform), especially for Snowflake integrations.
  • Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes and tools (e.g., dbt, Informatica, Talend, Fivetran, Airflow).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Git).
  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and agile methodologies.
