Job Details
Job Title: Data Engineer (SQL/ Hive/ Shell Scripting)
Location: Clinton, NJ (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 +months
Relevant Experience: 8+ Years
Required Skills:
- 6+ years of relevant experience. Data Knowledge of SQL/Hive, Shell Scripts and Big Data environment.
- Solid experience in Data engineering Experience in performing root cause analysis on various data sources and processes to solve business problem.
- Experience working with data from warehouses, relation databases, data hub and/or data lake.
- Experience with production support.
- Good communications skills.
- Knowledge of Python/AWS & Tableau is plus.
- Experience in working with schedulers like Oozie/ESP is plus Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows and performance issues. Work with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and big data technologies.
- Implement best practices in data engineering and software development.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Experience working in Agile environment Insurance domain knowledge Lead a team and engagement providing technical leadership
- Requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science or related field/ equivalent qualification and 8-9 years of relevant experience.
