Description
As a LAN Analyst for the Caterpillar Americas team, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team on complex network projects. You will develop your professional network and leadership skills as you support a wide variety of network-related solutions. You will also utilize your technical skillset and business understanding to help solve critical business problems.
- This role will work with the Caterpillar LAN team to provide support for all Caterpillar locations across the Americas.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
-Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve LAN issues and replace defective components as needed
-Respond as needed to support requests that relate to LAN development and support
-Provide off-shift support for critical incidents. Team members rotate through an on-call schedule, requiring occasional off-shift and weekend support calls
-Work directly, as needed, with business partners and vendors with integration of infrastructure
-Design and implement processes and process improvements to aid in development and support
-Follow ITSM process and documentation for all changes
-Collaborate with other technical teams as needed to plan and execute changes (i.e., firewall, VPN, wireless, NAC, etc.)
-Advise business partners regarding technical questions/issues in the LAN space

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong communication is very important. This consultant will be working at multiple CAT facilities and working with a diverse group of people.
Other Desirable Qualifications:
-Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
-Experience with automation technologies and scripting
-Experience with DNA Center
-Wireless knowledge and experience
-Relevant work experience with medium to large companies
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
