Marketing Research Analyst
The Marketing Research Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting market data to guide business decisions. This role evaluates market conditions, customer behavior, competitive landscapes, and emerging trends to support marketing strategy, product development, and overall business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Market & Consumer Research
- Conduct primary and secondary research to understand customer needs, preferences, and behaviors.
- Design surveys, questionnaires, focus groups, and other research methodologies.
- Analyze customer segmentation, buying patterns, and market dynamics.
Data Analysis & Insights
- Collect and process data using statistical tools and software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, SQL, Google Analytics).
- Interpret complex datasets, identify trends, and transform findings into actionable insights.
- Prepare dashboards, reports, and visual presentations for internal teams.
Competitive & Industry Analysis
- Monitor competitor activities, product offerings, pricing, and promotional strategies.
- Track industry trends, market shifts, technological advancements, and regulatory factors.
Strategic Support
- Work closely with marketing, sales, product, and leadership teams to inform business decisions.
- Recommend marketing strategies, target audiences, and opportunities for growth.
- Evaluate the performance of marketing campaigns and provide optimization suggestions.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Statistics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience
- 2-4 years of experience in market research, data analytics, or business intelligence.
- Experience with research methodologies, statistical analysis, and qualitative/quantitative techniques.
Skills
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Proficiency with analytics tools (e.g., SPSS, R, Python, Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
