Job Title: Technical Systems Analyst
Location: Richmond, VA - Hybrid
Duration: 12 months (potential for extension)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Systems Analyst with a strong data mapping and design background. This role involves designing technical interfaces, performing data mapping, and transitioning designs into build phases. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of analyzing existing systems to create robust solutions for new integrations.

Job Title: Technical Systems Analyst

Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Systems Analyst with a strong data mapping and design background. This role involves designing technical interfaces, performing data mapping, and transitioning designs into build phases. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of analyzing existing systems to create robust solutions for new integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop technical design documents for ~33 interfaces between existing system and other applications
- Perform data mapping and transformation analysis using Oracle database environments
- Analyze existing tables, interfaces, and workflows to design new integrations
- Collaborate with technical leads and SMEs to understand current system functionality and requirements
- Transition from design to build, potentially developing middleware solutions for system communication
- Write and review SQL queries for data validation and transformation
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide proactive input to drive progress
- Work closely with Sr. Technical Lead and support team for fact-finding and oversight
Required Skills
- Technical Design Background: Ability to write technical designs and understand build processes
- Database Expertise: Strong experience with Oracle databases, data mapping, and transformations
- Technical Analysis: Proven ability to analyze interfaces and design integration solutions
- SQL: Basic query writing for validation and troubleshooting
- Detail-Oriented & Proactive: Ability to push work forward and seek clarity independently
Preferred Skills
- Experience with .NET Core, C# (legacy system) and familiarity with Java-based environments (new system)
- Exposure to Python glue scripts and legacy Perl
- Linux server experience
- Middleware development experience
