Job Details

CHIT is seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals to lead and win new business pursuits and critical re-competes involving opportunities within the Federal and State government Health IT field and to support business development strategy and operations activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design documents to support the full spectrum of pursuit documents from discussion documents, proposals, and verbal preparation documents
  • Research, write, and edit content throughout the development process for proposals and collateral to support meetings with C-level executives
  • Lead the project management of large, diverse teams on document design and creation
  • Work with account managers during the proposal process to create compelling win themes and messaging
  • Engage internal research and analytics team to analyze and develop industry qualifications and market share data to support the proposal effort
  • Experience with managing and coordinating large diverse teams from various organizational levels from the prime, subcontractor, and consultant businesses
  • Experience in working closely with business area operations, business development leads, and pricing leads to ensure alignment of technical, management, and cost and price strategy
  • Experience with planning and coordinating proposal resources, including people, budget, and schedule and communicating status regularly to senior leadership
  • Experience with defined business development processes, including phases and gates
  • Ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities and meet high quality standards while working variable and longer hours under tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of federal government procurement process and FAR regulations
  • Ability to produce schedules, templates, and other proposal documentation using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of progressive proposal, marketing and project management experience; preferably within a professional services environment
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; or equivalent work experience in a Federal Government proposal environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Adobe.
  • Possession of excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the support services or Health IT Consulting industry, such as management/technical consulting firm, program support, engineering, IT, logistics, and training.
  • Healthcare IT proposal management experience with FDA and CMS.
  • Master s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, e)

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Should be extremely facts and data oriented.
  • Should be deadline and closure oriented.
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment; ability to work well under tight deadlines and effectively interact with a wide range of personnel
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written language communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible working hours needed for proposal preparation, including extended hours, evening/night hours, weekends, and holidays
