Pearson Marketing Cloud (PMC) is our Global Technology Platform that enables customers access to learning products and services through eCommerce and Digital Marketing journey. At present, we handle over 80% of Pearson's global eCommerce revenue and cater to almost half of all Pearson web traffic, generating more than 24 million page views monthly.

We're looking for an exceptional Senior eCommerce Solutions Manager with expertise in large-scale eCommerce and Web Content management. Your mission? Deliver global, reusable brillance using cutting-edge front-end frameworks and robust and scalable micro-services & platforms!

This individual must have technical expertise, visionary leadership, and a genuine passion for technology. This opportunity presents a distinctive chance for a senior technologist to play a key role in constructing something that directly betters the lives of millions, contributing to global education provision.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Solutions Team: Ensure roadmap items are assessed and high-level architecture deliverables are produced promptly for handover to engineering teams.

Architectural Strategy and Leadership: Define architectural strategy and provide leadership for developing and implementing initiatives that foster innovation in the ever-evolving ecommerce & web content space.

Champion eCommerce & CMS Architecture: Advocate and define architecture for eCommerce & CMS within a Microservices-based, API-first, Cloud-native, and Headless framework.

Collaborate for MVP Definition: Collaborate with senior leaders in business and technology to define MVP scope for various initiatives and design solutions aligning with enterprise technology strategy.

Evaluate Emerging Technology: Explore emerging technology for use across multiple domains, involving RFPs, vendor evaluations, and creation of Architecture Design Proposals.

Skills & Abilities:

Software Development Expertise: Proven experience in software development, specializing in architecting solutions for customer-facing web applications.

Communication Prowess: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate interactive sessions with both business and technology teams.

API-First Headless Architecture: Experience in implementing API-first Headless architecture within the eCommerce or Web Content space.

Cloud Platform Familiarity: Familiarity with AWS or equivalent cloud platforms, including expertise in auto-scaling and global deployments of application architecture.
