Role- O365 Architect
Location- New Jersey (can be remote)
Contract Position - 6+ months and will extend
Pay Rate- $50/hr on W2/Danta Technologies Payroll (OR) $60/hr on C2C-Corporation-To-Corporation
- Strategic Planning and Design
An architect-level O365 SME is tasked with the strategic planning and architectural design of Office 365 environments, focusing on technical requirements and enterprise objectives. Key technical activities include:
- Conducting comprehensive needs analysis, system audits, and gap assessments.
- Designing scalable, high-availability Office 365 architectures utilizing multi-geo capabilities.
- Experience in handling large environments .
- Multitenant and Hybrid environment experience.
- Automation experience -scripting Power Shell
- Should have hands on experience on ODFB, Teams, EXO and SPOL
- Developing detailed roadmaps for Office 365 deployment, including hybrid and multi-cloud strategies.
- Ensuring architectural alignment with ITIL best practices and regulatory compliance standards.
2. Deployment and Migration
Overseeing the deployment and migration process is a critical responsibility of an architect-level O365 SME. This includes:
- Architecting and implementing migration strategies using tools such as MS Native tools, Azure Migrate, ShareGate, and BitTitan.
- Configuring Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive for Business.
- Managing data migration processes, ensuring data fidelity, security, and compliance with enterprise data governance policies.
- Providing licensing guidance, managing subscription plans, and optimizing cost-efficiency.
3. Security and Compliance
Security and compliance are paramount in any Office 365 deployment. An architect-level O365 SME implements and manages robust security measures, including:
- Designing and enforcing comprehensive security policies, including conditional access and identity protection strategies.
- Deploying advanced threat protection (ATP), Microsoft Defender, and data loss prevention (DLP) mechanisms.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA through the implementation of compliance solutions.
- Conducting regular security audits, risk assessments, and incident response drills.
- Proofpoint experience.
4. Performance Optimization
To ensure optimal performance of Office 365 environments, an architect-level O365 SME continuously monitors and fine-tunes the system. This involves:
- Utilizing analytics tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Office 365 Admin Center to analyze usage patterns and system performance.
- Implementing performance-enhancing configurations and policies, including network optimizations and bandwidth management.
- Optimizing resource allocation and cost management through proactive monitoring and adjustment of service usage.
- Staying updated with the latest Office 365 updates, feature releases, and best practices.
5. User Support and Training
Ensuring end-user adoption and satisfaction is critical for Office 365 success. An architect-level O365 SME provides technical support and training, including:
- Developing and delivering comprehensive training programs and technical workshops for end-users and administrators.
- Offering advanced troubleshooting assistance and technical support for complex issues.
- Creating detailed user guides, technical documentation, and best practice guidelines.
- Collecting and analyzing user feedback to enhance the overall Office 365 experience.
6. Collaboration and Communication
Effective collaboration with various stakeholders is vital. An architect-level O365 SME bridges the gap between technical teams, management, and end-users. This involves:
- Partnering with third-party vendors and cloud service providers for specialized solutions and support.
- Communicating project progress, technical updates, and deployment milestones to stakeholders.
- Integrating Office 365 with other enterprise systems and applications, ensuring seamless interoperability.
- Participating in cross-functional teams to support digital transformation and IT modernization initiatives.
7. Continuous Improvement and Innovation
A commitment to continuous improvement and technical innovation is essential. An architect-level O365 SME proactively seeks opportunities to enhance and future-proof the Office 365 environment, including:
