Job Title: Cybersecurity Incident Response

Location: San Jose, CA(Hybrid)

Duration: 6+ Months

Payrate: $60 to $65/hr. on W2

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate complex security incidents and conduct forensic analysis on impacted systems.
• Respond to escalated threats from SOC monitoring tools, developing actionable mitigation strategies.
• Perform digital forensics for HR and legal investigations, ensuring chain-of-custody and compliance with international laws.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting, vulnerability research, and develop detection use cases.
• Create clear documentation and shift pass-downs; collaborate with IT, legal, and HR teams during incident handling.

Required Skills & Expertise:

• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, SIEM log analysis, and common network protocols (HTTP, DNS, DHCP, FTP).
• Expertise in one or more core areas: Incident Response, Digital Forensics, Cyber Threat Intelligence, or Monitoring & Detection.
• Proficient in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Perl) for automation and analysis.
• Familiar with penetration testing, memory forensics, and system image acquisition techniques.
• Strong risk assessment abilities and understanding of attack vectors and indicators of compromise (IOCs).
