Job Details

  • Actively participate in testing (regression testing, unit testing, code reviews) and assist analysts with functional testing.
  • Follow agile development methodology and participate in agile ceremonies with the team.
  • Develop an understanding of current tools, solutions, and data structures.
  • Participate in the development and support of interfaces between applications.
  • Learn and understand WWT's processes and how they relate to data management.
  • Complete training related to data tools, tech stack, and processes.
  • Participate in a low-volume on-call rotation and assist with after-hours maintenance as needed.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in software development.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent education/work experience.
  • Ability to communicate the complexities of technical solutions.
  • Knowledge of both master data and data governance principles.
  • Experience in software application development.
  • Familiarity with Java, Node.js, SQL, or similar programming languages.
  • Technical knowledge of Oracle products, including E-Business Suite, SoA, and Oracle Cloud, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of data stream technologies such as KAFKA is beneficial.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Understanding of common information technology topics.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and a collaborative style.
  • Strong desire for professional growth through learning and partnerships.
  • Technically creative and open-minded, comfortable with directional changes and project realignment.
  • Strong "can do" attitude with a willingness to pitch in when needed.
  • Comfortable with receiving feedback and accepting changes.
  • Highly motivated and dependable, with exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • True Agile mindset, understanding incremental delivery, user stories, and the Agile Manifesto concepts.
  • Experience with reading and troubleshooting SQL queries and/or other query languages.
  • Knowledge of data management best practices and concepts is a plus.

What will you be doing?

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a growing, dynamic, and friendly Master Data & Governance team of a fast-paced, global IT systems integrator. We are looking for someone with a passion for learning and collaboration, reporting directly to the team lead.

The Developer on the Master Data & Governance team will work in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic team of Developers, Analysts, and Architects. Team members utilize a broad range of functional and technical skills and are encouraged to expand their knowledge and capabilities. The position requires a self-starter capable of effectively managing their time, demonstrating a passion for learning, and mentoring teammates.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as a member of a delivery team by supporting teammates and collaborating with a "do what it takes" attitude to ensure success.
  • Learn and apply best practices to document tickets, resolutions, release notes, code, and scripts.
  • Work closely with other developers and analysts to ensure development meets requirements and delivers optimal performance to our end users.
  • Participate in system requirements/design discussions and development plans.
  • Attend and participate in all team ceremonies including standups, retrospectives, planning, and team meetings.
  • Provide production support, fulfill ad-hoc data requests, and assist in refining existing implementations in support of WWT's master data management applications.
