About the Role

As a User Experience (UX) Researcher on the Google Cloud Applied AI team, you ll shape the future of AI-driven enterprise solutions by conducting high-impact qualitative and quantitative research that informs strategy and drives product innovation. You ll translate complex user behaviors and market insights into actionable recommendations that define how AI-powered products are designed, developed, and scaled across industries.

You ll partner with PMs, Engineers, Data Scientists, and Designers to craft user-centric experiences for Google Cloud s next-generation Agentic AI solutions in Customer Engagement, Food, Auto, and Enterprise Productivity domains

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute end-to-end research (field studies, interviews, surveys, logs analysis) to uncover user needs and guide product decisions.
  • Translate data into clear insights, frameworks, and recommendations that shape product strategy and roadmap priorities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to build a program of research best practices combining qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain measurement programs for sentiment, user journeys, and experience quality across AI products.
  • Advocate for inclusive, user-centered design and drive adoption of UX research principles across the organization.
  • Present findings to executive and cross-functional stakeholders through compelling storytelling and data visualization.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 8 years of experience in UX Research or Human Factors roles.
  • Expertise in UX research methodologies, including surveys, usability testing, field studies, and metrics programs.
  • Strong analytical ability to interpret quantitative data and behavioral patterns.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise products, APIs, cloud technologies, and LLM-based systems.
  • Proven ability to communicate research insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in fast-paced 0 1 environments and scaling in large enterprise organizations.
  • Familiarity with generative AI, applied AI solutions, and enterprise workflow products.
  • Strong storytelling and synthesis skills able to align complex insights to business objectives.
  • Background in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, or related field.
