The Operations Engineer II will apply approved technologies and architectures to specific requirements for additions to support growth and new services.
The Main Responsibilities

The position primarily focuses on DWDM, Optical Fiber Networks, IP, Fiber, and GIS technologies.(These are main requirements)
The Main Responsibilities:
Applies detailed understanding of current network configuration and technology to ensure capacity and efficiency of the planned designs. May participate in definition of new network configurations, technologies, and best planning practices. May provide direction for the development of tools to monitor, manage, and report on the network.
Documents detailed technical methodology for installation of network equipment of moderate complexity, including written directions, graphical equipment layouts, and equipment topology.
Defines requirements, develops, implements and uses reporting procedures and methodologies to analyze network utilization and predict growth trends. Troubleshoots reporting errors and identifies data specific problems within large sets of data. Manually facilitates correction of reporting errors caused by data problems.
Prepares statprogress reports and updates management on projects. Participates in development of reports. May present new reports and summaries of network data to Management, Product Teams, and Network Planning. Train users in how to use these new tools and how they will benefit them.
Assists with the evaluation of new products to enable new service introduction, cost savings, and /or performance utilization under periodic supervision. May give input to Architecture and Engineering on Planning and Deployment equipment and network design requirements.
May act as lead and provide technical supervision to a cross-functional implementation team.
Participates in the development of plans to augment, optimize, and reconfigure the network as growth dictates. May participate in cross functional teams to give input to Architecture and Engineering on Planning and Deployment equipment and network design requirements.
What We Look For in a Candidate
Fully seasoned with typically 5+ years professional experience with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience or 2-3 years with a Master's Degree.
Has an entrepreneurial mindset, takes ownership and can navigate various internal/external stakeholders and groups to meet business objectives
Ability to work all shifts in a 7x24x365 call center including off hours/on call and during holidays
Experience mentoring/training/coaching/collaborating with other employees
Experience with project management.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Highly self motivated and directed.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Strong customer service orientation.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
