Founded in 2008, OPTiMO is an experienced consulting firm specializing in world-class, enterprise-level application development, system integration, and digital design. We support a client base spanning the public and private sector, and we strive for excellence both in our design work and in the service to our clients.
We are looking to add an experienced Project Manager to our team.
The qualified candidate will be able to manage a team of at least 4-6 resources focused on web support and multi-media support services, including four (4) internally hosted web sites.

We are looking to add an experienced Project Manager to our team.
The qualified candidate will be able to manage a team of at least 4-6 resources focused on web support and multi-media support services, including four (4) internally hosted web sites.
Must Have Requirements:
- Working full-time, on-site at a secure facility in the Washington DC Metro area.
- Currently hold an active TS SCI security clearance.
- Four (4) or more years related industry experience.
- Experience working for the federal government
- At least one (1) year of experience handling US classified documents[WH1.1] (DHS, DoD, and Intelligence Community protocols and directives (e.g., DHS MD 11042.1, 4300A/B/C).
- Experience managing Web design and development projects.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and experience implementing compliant interfaces.[WH2.1]
- Detailed oriented and strong organizational and communication skills in both oral and written form, and the ability to work well with others.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted during the course of work.
- Excellent written and oral English skills, proficient in MS Word, Excel, Visio, project, and both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Maintain productive and effective relationships with the client.
- Able to operate and manage full SDLC from project discovery to post-production rollout including ongoing support & maintenance.
- Ability to work with clients in a variety of business domains to understand their technological needs and support providing creative solutions.
- Supervise diverse teams of staff comprising business systems analysts, designers, software engineers, QA, and other engineering teams to get high-quality products and features through the software project lifecycle.
- Ability to create and maintain product backlog, burndown charts, RAID/CCB log, and both Monthly and Weekly Status Reports
- Overall responsibility for functional, technical, and personnel aspects of Federal government IT consulting and software development projects.
- Develop tailored project plans and update roadmaps to proactively plan project tasks and schedule resources for timely delivery of contract requirements.
- Ability to multitask and be proactive in risk management, identify and minimize scope creep, and perform impact analysis for new requirements, features or functions.
- Prepare progress reports and client briefings.
- Provide senior level management with ongoing and up-to-date statuses on all projects.
- Develop and enforce work standards, project schedules, and contractor schedules.
- Manage teams in a manner which ensures quality standards and work performance are met on all projects and monitor overall project and contract performance.
- PMP certification
- Familiar with high level internet application technologies and patterns with knowledge of system integration.
- BS or BA Degree preferably in Information technology, Project Management or Computer Science.
- High energy, can-do, results-oriented personality with strong communication skills.
- Experience working in a variety of delivery frameworks to include Agile methodologies and traditional sequential and iterative project management methodologies.
