IT Engineer, Salesforce
Position Summary:
An IT Engineer (Salesforce) designs, develops, and maintains processes and IT solutions within a technology domain; ensuring performance, security, and scalability across processes, systems, applications, and infrastructure.
They troubleshoot issues, optimize workflows, implement automation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance technology and business operations while adhering to industry best practices and compliance to architecture and standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, Develop, and Implement Solutions & Integrations – Assist in the design, development, and implementation of solutions & integrations to optimize performance and scalability.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve problems –Implement/support effective monitoring the monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues with effective root cause analysis.
- Provide Support & Optimization – Offer expertise in diagnosing and resolving issues by implementing the necessary corrective actions and/or fixes. Ensure operational efficiency and reliability and scalability.
- Document Technical Processes & Solutions – Maintain documentation for process and system configurations, engineering designs, and troubleshooting procedures to support knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate on Cross-Functional Projects – Work with team members and other departments to support business/technology initiatives & integrations, drive innovation, and improve workflows.
- Support initiatives, timelines, budgets, and deliverables as assigned to ensure successful outcomes.
- Data Analytics & Performance Monitoring - Track metrics (KPI/SLA) and identify areas of improvement using standard methodologies.
- Ensures Business Alignment - Work closely with Product and/or Process Engineering team members to implement technical solutions with business partners using standard methodologies.
Salesforce Specific
- Design, Develop, and Implement Solutions & Integrations:
- Develop custom applications using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Implement automation using Salesforce Flow, Process Builder, and Apex triggers.
- Implement best practices for data management and security.
- Participate in code reviews and receive/provide constructive feedback.
- Implement analytics and tracking solutions to gather user behavior data.
- Configures and Customizes Salesforce Environments: Including workflows, security models, automation, and reporting tools
- Configure Salesforce security models, including roles, profiles, and sharing rules.
- Implement Salesforce DevOps Strategies: Including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated deployments.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Copado, Gearset, or Jenkins.
- Manage version control using Git or similar tools.

Required Experience:
- 3-5 Years of Experience in the responsibilities & technical skills as noted elsewhere.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field; professional experience may substitute
- Master’s degree in STEM or Business a plus
- Prior Experience in Financial Services or Auto Lending a plus
- One or more certifications are preferred:
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (PD1)
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II (PD2) (Preferred)
- Salesforce Certified Associate (Preferred)
- Salesforce Certified JavaScript Developer I (Preferred)
Skills Required:

- Frameworks & Methodologies - Experience utilizing relevant frameworks & methodologies to standardize solutions relevant to the technology function:

- Experience with Salesforce data modeling and architecture.
- Familiarity with Salesforce best practices and design patterns.
- Experience with Salesforce automation tools like Flow, Process Builder, and Apex.
- Development Languages: Proficiency in Apex, SOQL, SOSL, LWC, Visualforce, and JavaScript.
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, MuleSoft, Boomi, and SQL.
- DevOps & CI/CD: Experience with Copado, Gearset, Jenkins, and version control.
- Salesforce Security Models: Knowledge of Salesforce security best practices.
- Testing & Performance Optimization: Proficiency in Apex test classes and Jest. (preferred)
