Job Details
My client is seeking an Application Support Engineer with experience working in Commodities to join their team.
It is also essential that you have experience working in Power Markets, and have an understanding of how real time trading operates.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years working within Energy Trading, focused on supporting Applications used by Traders in the Commodities space, specifically Power.

Responsibilities:
- Supporting a mixture of on-premise and cloud based solutions
- Identifying the root cause issues of application issues and failures
- Application monitoring
- Liaising with both internal and external parties and stakeholders
- Dealing with issues through to resolution wherever possible
Skills and experience required:
- Supporting Commodities Trading applications in ISO Power Markets
- Knowledge of Aveva Pi, SCADA or similar systems highly desirable
- Supporting Traders
- AWS / Azure
- Supporting .Net, Python or Java based applications
- Any Endur experience highly desirable
- Understanding and experience of working with SQL
