Role: Sr. Technical Program Manager

Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid or 100% Remote surrounding states)
Travel: Occasional travel to Houston for key meetings
Expenses: Internet reimbursed if fully remote

About the Role

As a Sr. Technical Program Manager, you ll join our Data & Digital team to lead the design, execution, and delivery of strategic initiatives that drive our digital transformation. You ll lead a team of Technical Program Managers, manage cross-functional programs, and establish standards and best practices for program delivery across the organization. This role requires a strong leader with deep experience in data systems, cloud technologies, and enterprise-scale transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Technical Program Management (TPM) team.
  • Partner with BPM and Agile teams to establish and enhance TPM standards and best practices.
  • Drive execution of complex, integrated program plans including timelines, budgets, milestones, resource plans, and performance metrics.
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and impediments; ensure smooth delivery of large-scale technical programs.
  • Communicate program status, progress, and risks to executive stakeholders; enforce accountability and delivery discipline.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, Data, and Engineering to align on program OKRs and deliverables.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of programs, including financials, forecasting, vendor selection, and SOW management.
  • Contribute to governance, frameworks, and operational processes to ensure consistent and predictable delivery.
  • Support RFP development, vendor evaluations, and contract management.
  • Champion Agile principles and continuous improvement by incorporating Lean, Scrum, Kanban, and innovative delivery practices.
  • Evaluate program outcomes and feedback to improve future initiatives.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field required
  • Master s degree (MS or MBA) preferred

Certifications:

  • Agile / Scrum Certification preferred
  • Cloud Certification in AWS or Azure preferred

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in technology program management, software development, or engineering leadership
  • 3+ years leading complex transformational programs
  • Proven experience leading or managing a Technical PM team or PMO
  • Deep understanding of data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, and digital platforms
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform), APIs, enterprise software, and application security
  • Strong command of Agile and hybrid (Agile/Waterfall) delivery models
  • Demonstrated success in end-to-end system migration and technical program delivery
  • Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proven track record in identifying dependencies, managing risk, and driving strategic execution
