SAIC is seeking a IT Asset Management Analyst (Asset and Logistics) in Reston, VA to perform government property administration and manual tasks to maintain an inventory of hardware and software, requiring experience and knowledge in government property administration practices.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including their location, status, and configuration.
  • Process requests for new IT equipment and software, ensuring timely fulfillment and proper documentation.
  • Coordinate the procurement, deployment, and retirement of IT assets within our ITSM software according to established procedures.

  • Collaborate with procurement and vendor management teams to manage relationships and ensure timely delivery of IT assets.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits related to IT asset management.
  • Handle shipping and receiving activities related to IT assets, including packaging, labeling, and tracking shipments.
  • Assist in the disposal and recycling of obsolete or non-functional IT assets in compliance with environmental regulations and data security policies.
  • Adhere to inventory control and distribution procedures, maintaining accurate receipt and invoices to account for receipt of, and issue of hardware and software to ensure the program meets compliance requirements.
  • Prepare/update government required reports.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors as required ensuring timeline acceptance, shipping and receipt of all managed equipment and parts.
  • Maintain inventory control of government and company material.
  • Comply with annual inventory control and auditing procedures.
  • Perform warehousing control and follow processes to maintain compliance with all government property and accountability regulations and local requirements.
  • Establish/maintain annual inventory procedures, access controls and audit processes to ensure 100% property accountability.
  • Track/report metrics regarding inventories, quantities shipped/received and on-hand to ensure inventories remain at sufficient levels to meet requirements.

Qualifications

Required Education:
  • TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience

Desired Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, management information systems, or equivalent experience.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of IT Asset Management experience.
  • Solid understanding of IT asset lifecycle management principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be comfortable researching various enterprise IT related technologies.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Possess certifications such as Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) or Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP).
  • Government Contract Experience.
