Description

SAIC, a leading provider of systems development & deployment, targeting & intelligence analysis, systems engineering & integration, and training capabilities and solutions for the Intelligence Community, is seeking a Federal Laboratory Systems Engineer to provide systems engineering and technical advisory (SETA) services to a United States Government customer in Chantilly, VA. SETA contractors provide analysis and engineering services in a consulting capacity, working closely with the government's own engineering staff members. This customer is responsible for designing, building, and operating national security-related systems based in space, in the air, and on the ground.

SAIC has an opening for an engineer to provide SETA support to a customer who is responsible for developing and maturing RF technology from applied research into the demonstrably mature capabilities that can be inserted into system program baselines.

Key Responsibilities:

Create Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA), Partnership Intermediary Agreements (PIA), and Collaborative Project Orders (CPO)

Track technology transfers from an R&D office to operational users

Identify key technical progress metrics and milestones and provide analysis of the progress against objectives

Support project management through the Federal Laboratory authority

Conduct engagement and coordination with other Federal Laboratory entities, as well as academia, industry, and government organizations

Engage in outreach activities with stakeholders within the organization to identify transition partners for R&D projects

Communicate technical concepts and information via written and oral communications

Qualifications

- Active TS/SCI with Poly

- BS degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math

- 14+ years of relevant experience to include working in Program/Project management and technical leadership

- Experience with Patents and Intellectual Property (IP) is desired

- Aptitude for on-site SETA work

- Effective interpersonal skills and strong briefing and writing skills

- Good working knowledge of MS Office applications
