Job Details
Job Title: Senior Network Engineer- Need Locals to Virginia( In Person Interview)
Duration: 8 Months
Location: Richmond, VA
Key Responsibilities:
- Considerable knowledge and working experience with enterprise routers, switches, VPN concentrators, firewalls, wireless access points, and load balancers (including the ability to document, set up, configure, upgrade, manage, and troubleshoot)
- Be capable of troubleshooting Network related infrastructure.
- Identifies and diagnoses system problems by using line monitors, diagnostic software, test equipment.
- Works closely with agency's IT infrastructure suppliers and stakeholders to gather requirements, specifications, and configurations to assure they are accurate and up to date.
- Responsible for assisting in troubleshooting and resolving network issues impacting application performance and uptime.
- Assist in overseeing the installation, documentation, and upgrades of various agency facility data network infrastructure.
- Will oversee and collaborate with cloud and DevSecOps teams to optimize hybrid connectivity and SDWAN configurations.
- Must have the ability to provide documentation, network architecture topology diagrams, IP schemes, firewall rules, and access controls when required.
- Must have the ability to work independently on assigned projects.
- Must have minimally obtained an industry standard networking certification (example: Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA- Junos, etc.)
Required Skills:
- 8+ years of Considerable knowledge and hands-on working experience with enterprise routers, switches, VPN concentrators, firewalls, wireless access points, and load balancers (including the ability to setup, configure, upgrade, manage, and troubleshoot)
- 8+ years of Demonstrated and hands-on ability to design, install and troubleshoot local-area and wide-area enterprise networks.
- 8+ years of Considerable direct hands-on experience engineering and design experience in networking industry required.
- 8+ years of Industry standard networking certification (example: Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA- Junos, etc.)
- 8+ years of In-depth experience designing installing and troubleshooting local-area and wide-area enterprise networks.
- 8+ years of Experience monitoring IT environments for compliance with information security, architecture policies, and standards.
- 8+ years of Experience creating repeatable, reliable, scalable network architectures with fault tolerance.
- 8+ years of Experience performance tuning, monitoring systems, statistics/metrics collection, and disaster recovery.
- 8+ years of Experience creating network diagrams using industry standard tools such as Visio, etc.
- 8+ years of Experience with networking features and protocols such as: ARP, CDP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VTP, Etherchannel, 802.1Q trunking, HSRP, QoS, multicast, IPsec, RADITACACS+, SNMP, BRI/PRI, MPLS
- 3+ years of Experience working with SDWAN
- 3+ Years Experience working with network topology related to Cloud
- 3+ YearsFamiliarity and experience working with cloud networking
