Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect / SME with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have strong solution architecture experience, hands-on skills across Google Cloud Platform services, Terraform automation expertise, and the ability to design, optimize, secure, and maintain large-scale cloud environments.
This role will collaborate closely with IT, engineering, and cloud operations teams to ensure seamless cloud integration and high-availability operations.


Must-Have Technical Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in Solution Architecture with a strong Infrastructure background.

  • Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform VPC design patterns including Shared VPC, VPC-SC, Private Service Connect (PSC), etc.

  • Strong understanding of IAM at scale and best practices for enterprise identity and access governance.

  • Expert-level knowledge of managing core Google Cloud Platform services including:

    • GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine)

    • BigQuery

    • Vertex AI

    • Google Cloud Platform Storage

    • Networking

    • IAM

  • Hands-on experience with Terraform (HCL, modules, state management) for multi-project cloud rollouts.

  • Experience setting up monitoring & alerting, analyzing performance metrics, troubleshooting, and ensuring system health.

  • Experience provisioning Google Cloud Platform data analytics services using Terraform modules.

  • Strong expertise in optimizing cloud environments for cost-efficiency, performance, reliability, and availability.

  • Experience in BCP/DR planning and execution within Google Cloud Platform environments.


Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform.

  • Collaborate with IT teams, developers, and cloud operations teams to integrate cloud services effectively.

  • Ensure infrastructure security and compliance with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain and monitor cloud systems to ensure optimal performance and high availability.

  • Develop and implement Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP) for cloud systems.

  • Troubleshoot complex cloud issues and provide expert-level support for cloud operations.

  • Create and maintain detailed architecture documentation, procedures, and audit-ready artifacts.
