Position Summary

Build the understanding of business and operational strategies and identify critical metrics required to execute those strategies.

Role and Responsibilities

Duties: Build the understanding of business and operational strategies and identify critical metrics required to execute those strategies. Analyze and process large sets of data using statistical software to track performance, identify improvement areas, and anticipate business outcomes across projects. Manage numerous executive dashboards and periodically generate reports at the request of Leadership. Obtain documents and analyze reporting needs and requirements for key projects through collaboration with cross-functional teams. Develop and maintain dashboards by utilizing Tableau to effectively visualize data. Work across functional lines to strive for consistent data quality. Work with executives and other business leaders to identify opportunities and develop forecasts for future proposals. Handle various data sources through the usage of data modeling work to develop reporting capabilities and valuable insights across data sources. Maintain all project management processes, including project goals, deadlines, and metrics.

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology and Analytics or a related field

Minimum Experience Required: Five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as an Engineer III, Data Engineering or related occupation in the business planning and e-commerce analytics with focus on data analysis and supporting online business.

Alternate Education Required: Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology and Analytics or a related field

Alternate Experience Required: Two (2) years of experience as an Engineer III, Data Engineering or related occupation in the business planning and e-commerce analytics with focus on data analysis and supporting online business.

Special Requirements: the 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience with a Bachelor's degree or the 2 years of experience with a Master's degree, must have included:

Experience with business intelligence and analytics platforms, including Tableau, Qlik, Power BI; Experience with SQL, relational database structures, and query authoring competencies, including use of CTEs and subqueries, and building tables and views; Utilizing Python/R for data transformation, analysis, and automation; Experience with application of advanced methods and statistical procedures on large and disparate datasets; Experience with working on large, high visibility programs spanning multiple parts of organization; Leading projects working with large datasets, finding insights and telling stories using data; and Experience with CI/CD platforms, ELK stack, Logstash, Elastic Common Schema, Filter plugins, Web Analytics tools.

Travel requirement: up to 10% domestic travel required.
