Material Handler - Manufacturing
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our manufacturing team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth flow of raw materials and work-in-process (WIP) items throughout the production floor. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a manufacturing environment and a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our manufacturing team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth flow of raw materials and work-in-process (WIP) items throughout the production floor. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a manufacturing environment and a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read Shop Orders and Manufacturing Specifications to determine machine setup, required materials, and run quantities.
- Move raw materials from the warehouse to designated machines per applicable picklists.
- Process "T" Transactions as necessary to ensure accurate material tracking.
- Follow Supervisor instructions to move materials efficiently and accurately.
- Transport WIP materials between completed and next-step operations as needed.
- Verify shop paperwork against physical product to ensure accurate job movement.
- Weigh all materials being returned to the warehouse and ensure proper storage.
- Record relevant information on picklists for tracking and inventory purposes.
- Remove and empty trash containers from the production floor.
- Move scrap containers to designated areas for disposal or processing.
- Load tape rack (maximum 100 lbs) and fill hoppers with color chips.
- Collect empty skids and move them to the designated holding area (limit skid stacks to 7 high).
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic math skills for accurate material tracking and documentation.
- Ability to operate machinery and material handling equipment safely and effectively.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
