Role: Agile Champion & Coach
Location: Phoenix, AZ & New York, NY
Job Type: Contract
Focus:
- The Agile Champion is a servant-leader responsible for enabling multiple Digital Workplace Scrum teams to effectively deliver value through Agile practices.
- This role involves coaching the teams on Agile principles, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- The Agile Champion ensures alignment across both teams, supports collaboration with stakeholders, and promotes transparency, accountability, and high performance.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, DOR sessions and retrospectives for multiple Scrum teams.
- Shield teams from external interruptions and help resolve blockers
- Guide teams in Agile best practices, ensuring adherence to Scrum framework
- Collaborate with Product Owners to maintain healthy backlogs and refine priorities.
- Track team performance metrics and promote continuous delivery improvements.
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies and communication.
- Provide support for Program Increment (PI) planning
- Lead and coordinate activities throughout the innovation sprint
- Cultivates, coaches, and communicates an Agile mindset
Experience:
- Bachelor s Degree in a related field required
- 3-5 years relevant experience with a demonstrated track record of growing responsibility
- Certification(s) in agile or scrum a plus
- Experience with Jira a plus
- Experience with Airtable a plus
Knowledge/Skills:
- Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM best practices
- Be flexible and adapt to change easily and often
- Technical acumen and ability to understand the team s technical platforms and applications
- Facilitate technical solution alignment discussions
- Coach team in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
- Live the Agile and SAFe Values and Principles
- Encourage diversity of thought and demonstrate an open mindset
- Foster a culture of trust and leadership in others
- Champion a learning culture to drive continuous improvements and standardization
