Description:
Job Title: Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer

Location: Chandler, AZ

About the Role

We're looking for a highly skilled and innovative Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer to join our advanced aerospace systems team. In this role, you'll design and develop cutting-edge algorithms and simulation tools that enable precision flight and navigation for a variety of platforms including aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, and launch vehicles.

You'll work on mission-critical systems that support powered and coast phases of flight, orbital manoeuvres, and staging events. This is a high-impact role where your contributions will directly influence the success of complex aerospace missions.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and test guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for aerospace systems.
  • Develop and validate multi-degree-of-freedom flight trajectory simulations.
  • Perform statistical data processing and integrate sensor measurements into navigation models.
  • Formulate guidance equations to achieve desired flight paths, orientations, or orbital positions.
  • Develop control laws and define hardware/software requirements for flight systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GNC solutions into real-time systems.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and 9+ years of relevant experience, or
    • Master's degree with 7+ years of experience, or
    • PhD with 4+ years of experience.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and C++.
  • Experience with multi-DOF flight trajectory simulation.
  • Proven ability to design and implement guidance and autopilot algorithms.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with real-time closed-loop software testing on flight-representative hardware.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems and hardware-in-the-loop testing environments.
