Oracle Applications Engineer (Techno-Functional)
Overview:
Seeking a Techno-Functional Oracle Applications Engineer with hands-on expertise in Oracle EBS R12 (12.1.3), strong SQL/PLSQL skills, and functional knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP). This role supports integrations, enhancements, and customizations in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience developing and supporting multi-tier applications.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle EBS R12 / 12.1.3 (Techno-Functional).
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL programming and performance tuning skills.
- In-depth understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) tables and business processes.
- Experience with RICE component development and custom API design.
- Working knowledge of Linux/UNIX, shell scripting, and cloud deployment (OCI or AWS).
- Proficiency in software development life cycle (SDLC) and change-management procedures.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Java development (for API or integration work).
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Knowledge of Graph Databases and PostgreSQL.
- Exposure to P2P, OTC, Project Accounting, Inventory, BOM, WIP business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Work across Oracle EBS 12.1.3 modules (primarily AP, with exposure to AR, GL, etc.).
- Design, develop, and maintain RICE components (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions).
- Build and troubleshoot integrations and APIs (REST/SOAP; Java is a plus).
- Perform SQL tuning, query optimization, and issue resolution in Oracle 19c.
- Analyze functional requirements and translate them into efficient technical solutions.
- Support production issues, deployment, and post-release activities.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, PMs, and Infrastructure teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Document configurations, code, and test cases; follow change-control processes.
