As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology Treasury & Chief Investment Office Team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Job Responsibilities
- Demonstrate extensive experience across all asset classes, including Fixed Income, Cash and Cash Equivalents, and derivatives, providing a profound understanding of financial systems and their development.
- Able to integrate accounting knowledge in Finance Sector with technology solutions to build and manage platforms crucial for revenue metrics and regulatory reporting.
- Develop strategic data solutions for financial reporting that ensure quality and detect anomalies, focusing on maintaining data integrity through variance thresholds and trend analyses.
- Lead technology finance teams with a focus on enhancing data strategy and managing Interest Rate Risk, specifically tailored to meet critical business questions from the CFO.
- Exhibit advanced technical proficiency in Java and other components of the technical stack, specifically applied to financial systems and data solutions.
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
- Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s) Python or Java
- Able to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
- Practical cloud native experience in AWS or Azure
- Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
- Experience working with multiple database technologies (RDBMS, No SQL)
- Experience developing enterprise data ingestion and pipeline solutions
- Experience presenting project plans and product roadmaps to senior business leaders
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience mentoring/coaching junior and mid level software engineers
- Experience working with Databricks or Snowflake a plus
