Position Overview:


We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Workday Financials Implementation Consultant to lead the migration and configuration of our finance and accounting systems into Workday. This role requires deep expertise across core financial modules including General Ledger, Expense Management, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and Invoicing. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate directly with FP&A stakeholders.




Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of Workday Financials, including planning, configuration, testing, and deployment.

  • Migrate financial and accounting processes from legacy ERP systems into Workday.

  • Configure Workday modules to align with business requirements across GL, AP/AR, Expenses, and Invoicing.

  • Perform data migration activities including file preparation, data mapping, and validation.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to validate data accuracy and ensure alignment with financial reporting needs.

  • Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and milestones to leadership and stakeholders.

  • Deliver polished presentations and documentation to communicate system capabilities and implementation status.

  • Troubleshoot issues and provide post-implementation support and training as needed.




Must-Have Qualifications:



  • Proven experience implementing Workday Financials, including successful ERP-to-Workday migrations.

  • Strong knowledge of financial processes and systems, particularly in General Ledger, AP/AR, Expenses, and Invoicing.

  • Hands-on experience with data migration, configuration setup, and validation in Workday.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence FP&A and finance stakeholders.

  • Ability to independently manage project deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.




Preferred Qualifications:



  • Workday certification in Financials or related modules.

  • Experience in a consulting or enterprise environment.

  • Familiarity with change management and training strategies during system transitions.
