As a Systems Administrator on our project, you'll ensure the current infrastructure is functional and available, constantly look for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies, and update and patch critical systems. You'll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management.
Your system administrator expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. You'll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning.
We focus on growing as a team, so you'll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the team work through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a system administrator leader, you'll identify new opportunities to modernize the network so your clients achieve their goals. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. You Have:
- 5+ years of experience configuring and managing Unix, Linux, or Windows operating systems, including installing or loading operating system sof tware, troubleshooting, maintaining integrity of and configuring network components, and implementing operating systems enhancements to improve security, reliability, and performance
- Experience managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, system monitoring tools, and virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V
- Experience working with Amazon AWS cloud technologies, including RDS, S3, ECS, and EC2
- Experience with Hypervisor environments, including Harvester, SecureView, and SecureOS
- Experience with virtual infrastructure and orchestrating the deployments of virtual images and containers, including RKE2 or K3s, KubeVirt, Helm, or MinIO
- Experience working with STIGs, patches, and firm ware updates
- Experience with server room or data center environments, managed switches and their configurations, and server and end user hardware, including desktop, thin client, or zero client
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain a DoD IAT Level II Certification such as Security+, CCNA, or SCCP Certification before start date
Nice If You Have:
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in System Administration, Network Administration, or a related technical field
- RedHat Certified System Administrator ( RHCSA ) or Micro sof t Certified Solutions Asso cia te ( MCSA ) Certification
- CASP, CISSP, or CCNA Certification
