Shift: SHIFT- 3 X 12 DAYS - Friday - Sunday 5:30 AM - 6:00 PM / Monday - Thursday and SHIFT: 4 X 10 NIGHTS
Pay Rate: $21/hr - $22/hr
Duration: 12 Months + Possibility to extend
Job Summary
The Manufacturing Equipment Operator is responsible for setting up and operating highly automated equipment and processes within the Transition Manufacturing department. This role requires strong technical skills to interpret blueprints, perform precision measurements, and ensure production quality. The operator will work with advanced machinery, maintain equipment, and adhere to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities-
Set up and operate automated and manual equipment across multiple manufacturing phases:

Phase 1: Robotic Grit Blast, Air & Vacuum Furnaces, Robotic Coating Booths, Laser Hole Cutter, Bar Code Readers & Etchers.

Phase 2: Robotic Trim Welder, Press, Vacuum Furnace, Bar Code Readers, Manual Welders.

Phase 3: Belt Sanders, Laser Cutters, Hermele Milling Machines, Plating Equipment, Hot Press Furnace, C-Scan Systems.

Interpret and work from detailed drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing specifications.

Determine tools and setup requirements for machining operations.

Perform material handling using cranes, forklifts, and jib cranes; load/unload parts from machines.

Conduct minor equipment maintenance (e.g., nozzle changes, oil checks, filter inspections).

Complete accurate production records and system entries (Operator Verification, product identification, etc.).

Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, gauges, micrometers).

Assist quality team with testing, charting, and recording data.
-
Follow Siemens policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Train and assist team members as needed.

Maintain cleanliness and organize tooling, fixtures, and work areas.

Experience: 2 4 years in manufacturing setup and operations involving advanced equipment.

Applied trades training (2 3 years) with expertise in:
-
Stainless alloys, blueprint reading, visual weld inspection, and electrical schematics.

Ability to use close tolerance measuring devices and perform measurement conversions.
-
Forklift and crane operator certification (or ability to obtain).
-
Basic computer skills and familiarity with data collection systems.

U.S. or Canadian Citizenship required.

CNC and manual equipment operation.
-
Knowledge of shop mathematics, metrology, and process troubleshooting.

Strong judgment and problem-solving ability for complex jobs.

Ability to lift 5 25 lbs frequently; up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, stretch, and stand for extended periods.
-
Manual dexterity for handling tools and precision work.
-
Exposure to noise, dirt, oil, grease, fumes, vibration, and chemicals.

Use of PPE including safety shoes, glasses, gloves, respirator, and protective clothing.

Ability to pass respirator fit test, hearing, and vision exams.
-
Strict adherence to all company safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Maintain vigilance for hazards such as sharp edges, flying debris, and heavy lifting operations.
