Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks an Associate, Application Development in Menlo Park, CA
Develop and maintain application tools that build, deploy, automate, and streamline source code management and the software product delivery process. Support application infrastructure and automated delivery pipelines while partnering with application teams operating in an Agile delivery environment. Design, implement, and maintain build infrastructure including build scripts, tools, and systems. Design and develop solutions to fix identified problems in the DevOps environment, utilizing existing tools and processes. Automate the build process to ensure consistency, reliability, and efficiency. Modernize existing application and services improving the efficiency and scalability. Create release packages and documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Ensure compliance with security policies and regulations throughout the build and release process. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in test and production environments. Provide internal support and scalability for continuously evolving engineering environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure development follows established processes and functions efficiently.
Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $156,000 and $156,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
Requirements:
Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the position offered or two (2) years as a Developer, or a closely related occupation. Requires two (2) years of experience with: development and scripting in Python; Bash scripting, Perl scripting, and Groovy scripting; API development in Flask; Django REST framework; relational databases including MYSQL; Perl; Devops tools; configuration and cluster management using Ansible; Web development; Github; Bitbucket; Jenkins; Linux; JIRA; converting business requirements into functional requirements; Synchronous and Asynchronous processing; event driven systems development; messaging systems including Celery; and RabbitmQ.
