Job Description:

The State of Ohio PUCO is seeking a seasoned Salesforce Developer to lead and support Salesforce development and administration efforts. The ideal candidate will bring strong Apex and Lightning development expertise, platform configuration knowledge, and DevOps experience to enhance and maintain Salesforce applications aligned with business needs.

This role also includes mentoring junior developers, supporting production systems, and working closely with IT and business stakeholders to implement scalable, user-friendly solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Salesforce configurations including Flows, page layouts, custom fields, record types, and settings
  • Develop and maintain Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Components, Visualforce pages, and Lightning Web Components
  • Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into scalable, high-performance Salesforce solutions
  • Optimize use of platform features; conduct platform health reviews and manage release updates
  • Contribute to and maintain the Salesforce platform roadmap
  • Lead or assist in DevOps and release management using tools like Gearset and OwnBackup
  • Provide production support, including troubleshooting and performance tuning
  • Lead technical discussions and guide junior developers
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, test cases, and test scripts

  • Candidates must be available to work on-site every Monday

  • Prior public sector experience is a plus, especially in regulated or government environments
