  • Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas-based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking Network Engineer to join our team.

    JOB SUMMARY

    This role requires a strong background in enterprise networking, with specific expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Experience: five (5) to eight (8) years of hands-on experience as a network engineer.
    • Firewalls: Proven expertise with Fortinet Firewalls is mandatory.
    • Routing and Switching: Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and switching technologies (VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol).
    • Wireless: Experience with enterprise Wi-Fi systems from vendors like Ruckus, Cisco, Meraki, or Aruba.
    • Protocols: Deep understanding and troubleshooting experience with network protocols such as DHCP, UDP, and Multicast.
    • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNP, Fortinet NSE4+, or similar are highly desirable.
    • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential.


    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Design and Implementation: Plan, design, and deploy new network infrastructure, including routers, switches, wireless access points, and firewalls, to meet business needs.
    • Configuration and Maintenance: Configure, install, and maintain all network hardware and equipment. Perform regular network maintenance to ensure network availability and performance.
    • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, including connectivity problems, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities.
    • Security: Manage and maintain Fortinet and Palo Alto Firewalls, including policy configuration, VPN management, and security audits.
    • Hardware Management: Configure and maintain network hardware from various vendors, including Extreme, Cisco, Fortinet, Ruckus, Juniper and HP.
    • Wireless Systems: Administer and support enterprise-level Wi-Fi systems from vendors such as Ruckus, Cisco, Meraki, Juniper, or Aruba.
    • Protocol Management: Demonstrate strong knowledge of core networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, UDP, and multicast.
    • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor network performance and health, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvements.
    • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures.
