Title: Healthcare EDI Business Analyst

Location: Columbia, MD, 21044 (Remote)

Duration: 6 Months Contract + Possible Extension

Terms of Employment:

• Contract, Six Months (Likely Extension)
• This position can be remote, with a strong preference for candidates residing in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area for a potential in-person interview and infrequent meetings.
• Core business hours are 9:00am 4:00pm (ET). Therefore, candidates must be available during these hours.
• November, December, and January are the Open Enrollment period. Candidates must be comfortable that extended time off is not feasible during these months.

Overview:

• Our client, a leading firm in the healthcare industry, is seeking a talented and experienced Business Analyst to join their enrollment and account installations team. This role is a great opportunity to make an immediate impact by supporting a significant project migrating backend systems from NASCO to Facets, while also handling critical, data-heavy operational work. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be a crucial part of the team, especially during the busy open enrollment season.

You will

• Serve as a Business Analyst for a data-heavy role focused on enrollment data maintenance and analysis.
• Work on an existing project involving the migration of backend systems to Facets.
• Engage in client-facing interactions and requirements gathering from an enrollment perspective.
• Identify trends and perform data analysis to support auditing processes.
• Maintain and manage enrollment data within the Facets system.
• Support the team's operational needs, particularly during the high-volume open enrollment season.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of five years of Business Analyst experience.
• A minimum of two to three years of experience with EDI, specifically with enrollment files (EDI 834).
• Mandatory background in the healthcare or health insurance industry.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong data analysis and trend identification capabilities.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to commit to working without extended planned time off during the period of November to January.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with the concepts of Facets.
• Prior experience working with BlueCross BlueShield (BCBS).
