Hybrid 4 days onsite in New York, NY

Our client seeks a Senior Back-End Developer to design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices for a complex loans processing platform. The developer will ensure scalability, performance, and robustness across services while collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver secure, reliable APIs and integrations.

Rate: $90.00 to $99.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, scrum masters, and engineering teams to deliver platform capabilities.
  • Design, develop, and implement microservices using Java Spring Boot with modular, testable, and reusable code.
  • Design, develop, and implement responsive user interfaces using Angular and TypeScript/Java when needed.
  • Ensure seamless integration and communication between front-end and back-end components.
  • Create RESTful APIs and gRPC interfaces for service-to-service and external integrations.
  • Conduct code reviews, implement unit testing, and maintain CI pipelines to uphold code quality and reliability.
  • Develop and present high-level design proposals and technical presentations to stakeholders.
  • Provide input and decision support, remove blockers, and ensure continuous delivery flow while helping refine and reprioritize backlogs.
  • Foster a collaborative culture by sharing knowledge across pods and participating in brainstorming sessions.
  • Support team members in resolving challenges and aligning with the product vision.

Experience Requirements:

  • Strong expertise in Core and Advanced Java and J2EE.
  • Hands-on experience developing and deploying microservices with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Data or similar frameworks.
  • In-depth knowledge of REST API principles and the HTTP protocol.
  • Solid understanding of Git, CI/CD, and Agile principles.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, JUnit, and Apache Kafka preferred.
  • Experience with Ethereum, Hyperledger Besu, and EVM-based platforms preferred.
