Head of Strategic Cloud Initiatives Execution

This pivotal role drives the execution of the bank's global Public Cloud adoption strategy, spearheading transformation across business units, applications, and infrastructure at scale. The Head of Strategic Cloud Initiatives Execution bridges strategy and delivery, converting enterprise cloud ambitions into measurable outcomes such as increased agility, cost efficiency, and accelerated innovation.

You will be responsible for overseeing the execution of complex multi-cloud programs, ensuring seamless alignment across technology, security, risk, and business domains. This position demands profound expertise in Public Cloud technologies, a proven track record in delivering large-scale transformation programs, and the ability to effectively engage with senior executives to secure strategic alignment and approvals.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive Enterprise Cloud Adoption Execution:

• Lead the delivery and execution of enterprise-wide Public Cloud adoption initiatives across diverse regions and business units.
• Translate strategic cloud objectives into actionable, measurable programs that align with key business priorities.
• Oversee the entire delivery lifecycle, from initial discovery and planning through production deployment and ongoing adoption.
• Define, monitor, and report on key metrics for adoption success, operational efficiency, and tangible business value realization.

Cross-Enterprise Coordination and Governance:

• Collaborate strategically with key stakeholders across Technology, Risk, Security, Operations, and Business lines to ensure compliant and efficient cloud adoption.
• Facilitate alignment among multiple executive sponsors, governance bodies, and program stakeholders.
• Establish and manage global governance processes for execution, standards adherence, and risk mitigation in cloud adoption.

Program and Portfolio Management:

• Partner closely with the Program and Portfolio function to ensure the successful execution of critical Cloud-based initiatives.

Strategic Leadership and Business Value Realization:

• Lead a global team of cloud strategy and execution professionals, continuously identifying new opportunities for cloud adoption.
• Develop robust business cases quantifying value creation, including cost savings, cost avoidance, improved resiliency, and accelerated time-to-market.
• Engage with Finance and Business leaders to secure buy-in and executive approvals for large-scale cloud initiatives.

Thought Leadership and Executive Engagement:

• Serve as a trusted advisor and thought leader on Public Cloud adoption for senior technology and business executives.
• Represent the Public Cloud organization in critical executive forums, steering committees, and transformation councils.
• Foster a culture of execution excellence, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

Required Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience in technology or transformation leadership, with a minimum of 5 years specifically focused on Public Cloud.
• Demonstrated success in executing complex, global technology programs within highly regulated environments.
• Deep understanding of leading Public Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and modern application delivery patterns.
• Strong financial and business acumen, coupled with extensive experience in developing and presenting compelling business cases to senior executives.
• Proven ability to lead diverse, distributed teams and effectively influence without direct authority.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, adept at engaging both technical and executive audiences.

Preferred:

• Experience within large financial institutions or similarly complex regulated enterprises.
• Familiarity with cloud operating models, FinOps, and established risk/compliance frameworks in multi-cloud environments.
• MBA or an equivalent advanced degree in business, technology, or engineering.

Success Measures

• Accelerated cloud adoption rates across all business units.
• Quantifiable business value delivered through cloud programs (e.g., measurable cost reductions, risk mitigation, revenue enablement).
• Demonstrably improved alignment and collaboration among technology, security, and business stakeholders.
• Successful delivery of complex programs on time, within budget, and to specified scope.
