BCT is looking for a remote hands-on Senior Manager of Quality Assurance to lead and grow our QA team, drive excellence in testing practices, and ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. This is a strategic leadership role for someone passionate about modern QA methodologies, automation, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

In this role, you ll oversee day-to-day QA operations, while also setting the direction for the future, designing scalable, intelligent, and secure testing strategies using AI, automation, and DevOps best practices.

WHAT YOU LL BE DOING:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing QA team, own hiring, training, and coaching to support career growth and accountability.
  • Champion modern testing strategies, integrating automation, AI-based testing, and DevOps practices into QA workflows.
  • Design and implement scalable automated testing frameworks to improve efficiency, coverage, and speed of testing cycles.
  • Oversee functional and non-functional testing, including performance, usability & security, emphasizing robust cybersecurity validation techniques.
  • Drive the use of static and dynamic code analysis to detect defects early and ensure consistent performance across multiple environments.
  • Stay ahead of the curve, evaluate and pilot emerging tools and testing methodologies to keep the team innovative and agile.
  • Prioritize and manage QA operations, allocating team resources, managing timelines, and supporting project planning and estimation.
  • Define and track quality metrics to continuously evaluate and improve testing processes and outcomes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and compliance teams to ensure quality is embedded at every step of the development lifecycle.
  • Own the critical incident response process ensure swift resolution, effective communication, thorough documentation, and preventive action planning.

WHAT YOU LL BRING:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in QA, software testing, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years in a formal or informal QA leadership role.
  • Expertise in both manual and automated testing practices, with a deep understanding of software testing methodologies.
  • Strong technical knowledge, comfortable with tools, scripting & programming (e.g., SQL, .NET, Web technologies).
  • Experience with test management tools, JIRA, Confluence & Agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with SOC compliance and other regulatory control frameworks.
  • Ability to work on-site once a quarter in DFW.
