Position: Senior Software Engineer - Simulation & Control Systems
Location: Orlando, FL
Duration: 12-month contract + possible extensions and/or potential to convert permanent with the client
Pay Rate Range: up to $85.50/hour depending on skills and experience

Project Description:
Join a dynamic engineering team that supports the full lifecycle of complex systems used in themed entertainment environments. This role focuses on developing simulation and testing tools that support engineering analysis and system validation across global operations.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop desktop applications and APIs for internal engineering teams.
- Create and maintain unit and regression tests.
- Document software for both technical and end-user audiences.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues in deployed environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide hardware/software decisions.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience developing Windows/Linux desktop applications in C/C++.
- Strong background in industrial control systems (e.g., PLCs, GPCs).
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP, UDP, sockets) and real-time systems.
- Experience with Agile development, source control (Git), and CI tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in entertainment or automation systems.
- Knowledge of hardware-in-the-loop simulation and systems engineering tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or PowerShell.
- Advanced engineering degree is a plus.
