Job Details

Responsibilities:
Develop engineering design concepts for HVAC building systems on moderately complex projects
Design mechanical or electrical building systems
Perform calculations for heating/cooling loads and equipment sizing using standard engineering formulas
Collaborate with the Lead Engineer on engineering studies and schematic designs for new systems, and analyze the performance of existing systems
Assist in equipment selection through catalog research under engineer guidance
Apply a working knowledge of relevant building codes; consult with engineers to ensure code compliance
Contribute to the development and implementation of company design and production standards
Manage multiple projects simultaneously with accuracy and efficiency
Follow specific technical instructions with attention to detail and follow-through
Work collaboratively with team members, sharing ideas and suggesting process improvements
Attend client meetings as needed to support project development and communication
Conduct site visits as required to assess conditions and support design coordination

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Minimum of 5 year of experience in HVAC design within an MEP firm
Proficiency in Revit for mechanical or electrical design applications
Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical system design principles and concepts
Familiarity with relevant building codes and industry standards
Ability to interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
